Like most of you, I’ve been labeled, defined, and judged–for better and for worse–based upon a whole set of criteria I can’t control. And yet, all of that doesn’t really matter. I believe in God the Father and in His Son, Jesus Christ. I am doing my best day to day and hour to hour to emulate Him, to become more like Jesus Christ. Why?
- I like the peace I feel when I am around those who strive to act like Him, as well as the peace I feel when I strive to act like Him
- This is the best way to create an authentic relationship with my Heavenly Father.
I admire and respect many different kinds of spiritual traditions, and even incorporate much of their practices in my life, like meditation, yoga, and herbalism. It doesn’t replace what I believe, but enhances my own spiritual life and draws me closer to that space where I can focus on God.
